Finally finished carving the New Zealand Wildflowers Linocut block. I have chosen to cut around the edges to get the lines I want without any additional ink marks coming from stray pieces of lino.
Unfortunately I will be busy for the next 3 days so it will be Saturday before I can print it.

This is the most precise carving of lino I have ever seen. I take my hat off to you for your patience and this is going to look gorgeous inked up. How frustrating that you have to wait a few days before doing so!

Hello Lesley, I have been away a couple of days and have just returned…hoping to print tomorrow, depending on the weather…we’ll see…otherwise I have more carving on another project or I am still finishing the Tawny Frogmouth illustration…or…

Thank you all for your comments and interest in this design. It was absolutely bucketing down rain yesterday and I don’t like printing in such conditions – paper gets ’soft’ and when it is cooler the ink thickens up. The sun is attempting to break through this morning – so it is off to the studio…
